Monday's Notes
We started the Show today remembering the end of the Cold War. 20 years ago freedom won a decisive battle against tyranny. We need something similar to that to happen here in the United States. Actually, something similar to that is happening. Keep listening to the Freedom and Liberty Show for more info on the Continental Congress 2009 event.
The President couldn't be bothered to actually attend the celebration of the end of Wall coming down. Could it be that he considers this a day of mourning rather than a day of celebration? It is possible considering the beliefs of the people he's chosen to work with.
GovernmentCare passes the House. If we're lucky (but I doubt it.) this won't get through the Senate. They say it won't but you can't believe a word a politician says. They'll come to a last minute, behind the scenes agreement and claim what a great thing has been accomplished and how the American people are the real winners...yada, yada, yada. BULL SQUEEZE all of it. Wake up America!! Government is not our friend. This bill is another one of several death blows to individual freedom and liberty in America.
When the government slippery slope goes vertical. The is an excellent article. A must read.
Think GovernmentCare is about helping the people? Then what are these different provisions all about? It's about power and control people. The less we have the more government likes it.
This paper in San Jose, CA actually did some investigative journalism into the police force. The results are not surprising. Disturbing, but not surprising.
The innocent have just as much to worry about with today's law enforcement as the bad guys do.
In 99% of police brutality cases, including many that have video evidence of law enforcement officers committing violence on people who are absolutely no threat to them, the investigators tell us that the officers involved didn’t commit a crime, they followed department procedure etc. etc. blah blah blah.
So can’t we assume then that it is dept policy and procedure for cops to use violence on people who are no physical threat to them? If it happens time and time again all across the country can’t we deduce that it’s not an unusual occurrence? Isn’t this a NEGATIVE? How is it that the majority of Americans, at least the ones who comment on news articles anyway, have the mindset that anyone who is injured by the police had it coming?
One of the biggest reasons the police give us that they are so high strung and ready to use violence at the drop of hat is because they have such a dangerous job and the name of the game is for the officer to go home that night.
Okay, I can buy this to a point. They do have a somewhat dangerous job when they aren’t out generating revenue for the State. But I thought the name of the game was protecting the public. Isn’t that the purpose of creating police departments? I’ve watched COPS before, isn’t that the reason that damn near every cop gives on why they want to be a police officer?
But even then, law enforcement doesn’t even make the top 10 list of dangerous professions. At least not in this decade.
And even if this were the case, does that give law enforcement the right to use violence on people who are no threat to them? Absolutely not!
Dozens of kids jailed for a most heinous act. "Oh, it was horrible officer I got hit with a dessert item." Did this really warrant arrest? In my day they used to make us clean it up. Not imprison us for it. Dirtbags!!
Flavored cigarettes are a no no! We can't have a product that people actually want. Oh, no. Cause they have to protect the children. How many times are they going to use that excuse? When are the American people going to stand up and say I'll protect my own child thank you. Keep your damn laws. It's their job to protect our freedom not our bodies. How are they doing on that you think?
44% of politicians are millionaires? There is no way, no way that they can feel our pain. It's no wonder they don't represent the people. Now that they've made their millions, they do all things necessary to PREVENT other people from doing it too. That makes sense.
This is one NASTY computer virus. A virus that can get you thrown in jail! Bump that mess.
Direct Democracy. Going to have to think about this one more.
Thanks for listening today folks! Have a great night.
